Want a peek at some of the photos from our shoot with Maureen Cotton?  Click here!
Maureen is an amazing photographer here in the Boston area who specializes in weddings, engagement photos and portraits.  She came across us thanks to a good old-fashioned poster I put up advertising us as a wedding band in my neighborhood.  As she mentions in her blog post, we struck up a barter between us - we’re playing for her wedding in August, and she gave us these incredible photos!
Future brides, grooms, families or anyone who happens to be checking us out, if you still need a photographer, check out Maureen’s work!  As you can see in the photos, she’s got a great eye for not only capturing everyone at their best and for picking great settings, but she also caught our myriad expressions and personalities.  Without her direction, we would have just stood around or shyly played our instruments, but Maureen got us moving and trying out different positions and arrangements - she even got Caroline up a tree!  Even things that felt kind of odd at first ended up looking really great in the photos.  And if you’ve ever thought that posing and being photographed for several hours would be awkward, Maureen will change your mind about that!  She’s such a master at switching back and forth between having a conversation, joking around, and giving you directions and tips that after a while it starts to feel pretty natural to be photographed.  So if you’re looking for someone who not only takes amazing photos but is also fun to be around, easy to work with and will put you at ease, you couldn’t do much better than Maureen Cotton.
